Welcome to my next few days! We’re having a late-August heat wave and the ragweed is in full bloom. Makes for a fun day of packing. I’ve already tweaked my back, so I’m on reduced lifting jobs for the rest of the day. I guess that means I’ll be doing most of the cleaning :(
Packing is going well though and I think that as long as I don’t eat all the food in the pantry as an excuse to not have to pack it then I should be on track for a better week than last week.
Any tips on how to avoid pre- and post-move chaos? I’m doing the system my Mom used for moves: each floor gets a colour of label so if the movers can get it at least to the right floor I’ll be happy. But I’m not sure how to even begin organizing at the new place so that things are clean and tidy. Especially the kitchen. Do any of you put snacks in opaque baskets? I’ve heard this can help. I’m also considering putting all of the “treats” up high where only Marc can reach them. Any other suggestions?
